16 Apr 2008 - Curry Night

Hi all,

Just a quick note of dates for your diary as not many managed to make it to Monday's PTA meeting (me included!).

1.    The next PTA meeting will be held on Monday 9th June, 8pm in school.  This will be an important meeting finalising arrangements for our Summer Fayre on 5th July, so it would be really great to see as many of you as possible.

2.    Then we thought we'd have another curry night as the last one was so such a good night out.  Not sure where yet, so any ideas would be welcome, but it will be on Friday 16th May.  Please let me know if you can join us.  There are lost of others who regularly help at discos, productions and fayres, so please pass on to those not on my list.

3.    Finally, it's school disco time again on Friday 25th April (seems to come round ever so quickly), so can you let me or Emma know if you can help please - Infants from 5.45 to 7.30pm and Juniors from 7.15 till 9pm.

In terms of fund-raising we've agreed that we'll buy some new PE kit to go in the lovely new metal PE shed, some musical instruments, kitchen furniture & accessories and boys workshop tools for Reception, books, plus a new PTA Bar-b-q.  These will mop up most of our existing funds.  So we're going to have to work hard for our new fund-raising target which is an outdoor classroom - utilising the bank behind the school.

Thanks to everyone for their continuing support - sorry I've missed the last 2 meetings, but have got the next one written in my diary in bold.  I know everyone is very busy but it would be great to see as many of you there as possible.
