CHARGING POLICY
A vital part of Education is giving children opportunities to learn through visits and outings. We aim to have a variety of these throughout the school year. Our experience shows that these outings stimulate children's work and help to develop their social skills.
We need to ask parents to make full voluntary contributions to fund these outings but no child will be excluded because of inability to pay.
When a class outing or visit is planned parents will be informed by letter as to the date, purpose and cost.
The cost will include entrance/coach fees as appropriate. Insurance cover additional to that provided by the LEA will be available to individual parents at a small extra cost - usually less than 20p. Sufficient adults will accompany children to ensure their well being and parents will need to give written permission before any child can be taken out of school.
